At Nikon Precision Inc. (NPI), we sell and service the equipment used to make the semiconductors found in your PC and smartphone. With the launch of the NSR-1010G stepper in 1980, Nikon sparked the rise of the semiconductor industry. Since then, our lithography systems (steppers and scanners) have printed half of all integrated circuits ever made and we are a recognized leader in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
Our lithography systems are cutting edge and rapidly evolving. Because our technology is complex, our people gain deep expertise while also working closely as a team across diverse specialties and backgrounds to achieve results. Serving our customers requires a culture that embraces creative thinking and the agility to solve tough problems. Though our business is fast-paced, we also foster a culture of caring for each other and close bonds across our teams. While Nikon has various job opportunities, the majority of our employees are Field Service Engineers. Nikon Precision Field Service Engineers (FSEs) work with our customers on the frontlines of our business to ensure optimal performance of Nikon equipment. FSEs proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues. The FSE position will challenge you in best sense of the word. If you enjoy solving technical problems in a hands-on way, a career at Nikon may be a great fit for you.
Because our technology is multi-faceted and complex, our FSEs continue to grow, learn, and build their expertise each day. New FSEs train to build a strong foundational background that prepares them to make proactive decisions and take action. As an FSE, you will have the opportunity to dive deep into specialty areas that interest you such as software, hardware and optics replacement and adjustment, as well as troubleshooting and analysis from the systems level to the component level. At Nikon, FSEs also have the ability to grow in their careers by exploring technical support, applications, operational support and managerial roles.
Our FSEs thrive on technical challenges, but also value being part of a cohesive team and a company that cares for individuals and their well-being.
